PocketPerks Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the PocketPerks mobile application published by 297 Innovations.
PocketPerks is designed to help users store loyalty cards, receipts, and shopping lists in one simple wallet-style app. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app stores, how it is used, and what choices you have.
1. Information Stored in the App
PocketPerks may store the following information when you choose to add it:
- –Loyalty card names, card numbers, barcodes, and related card details.
- –Shopping lists and shopping list items.
- –Receipt details such as store name, amount, date, notes, and attached receipt images.
- –App preferences such as settings and local app options.
- –Backup files that you choose to export or restore.
This information is stored locally on your device unless you choose to export a backup file or move that file to another location.
2. Local Storage
PocketPerks does not currently require an account, login, or cloud sync.
Your data is stored on your device using local app storage. PocketPerks does not upload your loyalty cards, receipts, shopping lists, or receipt images to a PocketPerks server.
3. Receipt Images and File Access
If you attach a receipt image, PocketPerks uses your device's image or file picker to let you choose an image. The selected image is used only for the receipt feature inside the app.
If you restore a backup file, PocketPerks uses your device's file picker so you can select a PocketPerks JSON backup file from your device, Downloads folder, Google Drive, OneDrive, or another file provider available on your device.
PocketPerks only accesses files that you choose through the picker.
4. Camera and Barcode Scanning
PocketPerks may use your device camera when you choose to scan a loyalty card barcode. Camera access is used only for barcode scanning inside the app.
PocketPerks does not use the camera in the background.
5. Android Permissions
PocketPerks may request the following permissions depending on features you use:
- –Camera permission for barcode scanning.
- –Photos, media, or file access for attaching receipt images and restoring backup files.
Permissions are only used when you actively use related features.
6. Backup and Restore
PocketPerks lets you export your app data as a JSON backup file. You may save this file locally or upload it to a cloud storage service such as Google Drive or OneDrive.
If you store your backup file with a third-party service, that service's own privacy policy and security practices apply. PocketPerks does not control how those third-party services store or protect your files.
You are responsible for keeping your backup file safe because it may contain loyalty card numbers, receipt details, and shopping list information.
7. Data Sharing
PocketPerks does not sell your data.
PocketPerks does not share your loyalty cards, receipts, shopping lists, or backup data with advertisers or data brokers.
PocketPerks does not currently send your app data to a PocketPerks server.
8. Analytics and Tracking
PocketPerks does not currently use analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies to monitor user behavior.
9. Third-Party Services and Libraries
PocketPerks uses third-party open-source libraries and platform components to support features such as barcode generation, barcode scanning, image selection, local storage, and file access. These libraries are used solely to provide app functionality.
10. Children's Privacy
PocketPerks is not designed specifically for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Data Deletion
You can delete your data inside the app by deleting individual loyalty cards, receipts, shopping lists, or shopping items.
You may also use the app's reset option to clear app data from your device.
If you exported a backup file, deleting data inside the app does not delete copies of backup files stored elsewhere, such as Downloads, Google Drive, OneDrive, or another storage location.
12. Security
PocketPerks is designed to keep your app data on your device. However, no storage method is completely secure.
You should protect your device with a passcode, fingerprint, face unlock, or other device security feature. You should also store backup files carefully because they may contain information you entered into the app.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are made, the updated policy will be posted with a new effective date.
